McCurtain Memorial Hospital has been placed on lockdown status by hospital administration. A lockdown may be placed for several reasons, to include, but not limited to, our commitment to maintain the safety of our staff, patients, visitors and property. As a standard operating procedure, our hospital will lock down in situations where victims of certain types of violence are presented to our hospital, such as domestic assault, gunshot victims, suspected gang violence or any situation which the administration feels warrants a lock down.

During a lockdown, patient, staff and visitor movement is controlled to ensure safety. Entrance and exit of the hospital will only occur through the Emergency Room waiting area / Registration area. The hospital will communicate with the public about lockdowns once information is available. You should know that we take every precaution to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, visitors and property.
