McCurtain Memorial Hospital Launches New Inpatient Hospitalist Program in Partnership with OSU Medicine

ree

McCurtain Memorial Hospital is proud to announce an exciting new development in our ongoing partnership with Oklahoma State University (OSU) Medicine. We have officially launched a new Inpatient Hospitalist Program, bringing additional support and specialized care right here to McCurtain County.

This program is part of our mission to provide the best possible care close to home and we’re thrilled about what it means for our patients, our providers, and our community.

Through this partnership, our hospital team now has direct access to OSU’s board-certified internal medicine physicians. These specialists are available to help with more complex medical cases or simply provide a second opinion when needed. With a team of advanced internal medicine doctors available, patients can receive timely, high-level care without unnecessary delays.

In the words of Dr. Bradley Anderson, Medical Director of Virtual Care at OSU, their team is “ready to help with any medical concerns.” This additional layer of specialty expertise strengthens our own providers’ ability to deliver excellent care right here in McCurtain County.

Recently, hospital leaders and Dr. Herron, Chief of Staff at McCurtain Memorial Hospital, met with the OSU team to review the inpatient hospitalist program. During this meeting, the OSU physicians shared stories of how, in other rural hospitals, access to advanced internal medicine support has allowed patients to remain in their community rather than being transferred. Dr. Herron emphasized that he believes this program will be highly beneficial not only for the hospital team but also for providers and, most importantly, for the patients of McCurtain Memorial Hospital.

Expanded Behavioral Health Services

We’re also excited to share that behavioral health services at MMH are growing. Thanks to this collaboration, we now offer telemedicine mental health support not only in our Emergency Room but also for inpatient care. This means patients facing mental health challenges can now receive timely and professional evaluations—something more important than ever in today’s healthcare landscape.

Supporting the Next Generation of Providers

The partnership goes beyond patient care. OSU has also invested in the future of rural medicine by renovating the rooms and student lounge used by medical students who complete part of their training right here at MMH. These improvements ensure that the next generation of doctors receives hands-on experience in a welcoming and supportive environment.

A Shared Commitment to Rural Health

This program is made possible through a grant from OSU and comes at no cost to our hospital—a true investment in rural health and in the well-being of McCurtain County.

We’re grateful for the continued partnership with OSU Medicine and look forward to the many ways it will benefit th

e people we serve. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier future—right here at home.

Hi Brian,

I came across your Wix site and noticed it’s not fully visible on Google some pages aren’t indexed and rich results aren’t showing.

This usually happens when the schema setup isn’t complete.

I can share a free Wix visibility report showing what’s blocking your SEO growth and how to fix it.

Would you like me to send it?
