Tomorrow is New Hire Orientation

We're looking forward to you attending new hire orientation tomorrow. There are a couple of things you must make sure of prior to attending.

1. You should have received and completed both DocuSign emails that contained your Pre-onboarding and actual Onboarding documents. If you did not receive and complete both emails, we need to know. Click here to send us an email and let us know if you did not receive the onboarding emails.

2. You should have completed your drug screen. If you have not, you will need to arrive at 8:30 AM and complete the drug screen before orientation. Simply come to the hospital and register at outpatient services and they will take care of you. Tell the registration clerk that you are here for an employee drug screen. There is no cost to you for this screening.

Orientation will begin at 9:00AM. Please ensure you are present and on time for orientation.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

1. We will need the documents you used when you completed your Form I-9 during your onboarding. Remember? That would have been your Passport; Photo ID and Social Security Card or Birth Certificate. We have to see these documents by law so that we can do our part of the process. Don’t worry - once we’ve taken a look at those, we will return those right back to you. We will need the original documents so we apologize we cannot accept copies.

2. If you are a licensed, certified or registered professional, bring all of your credentials with you.

This should include things like your nursing license, for example, CPR/BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CCRN or any other credentials you should have for the position you are being hired for.

3. If your position requires a specific college degree, please bring your education documents, too. This can include a transcript or diploma.

Next, come looking your best and be ready for your MMH Employee Badge! No one wants a photo that looks like an all-day visit to the DNV so come ready to smile for the camera! We will take your photo and prepare your badge during orientation!

Let’s now talk a little about where to go and what to expect during New Hire Orientation:

Where to park: You are welcome to park your vehicle at the front of the hospital on the lower level parking area. We like to save the upper level for our patients and visitors so we ask that you not park there.

What time to arrive: We like to get started right on time so be at the hospital and ready to go at 9:00 AM. You will be greeted by a member of the team right on time!

Where to go: Please come into the hospital’s Main Entrance right at the front of the hospital. Come through the foyer and turn left towards the cafeteria. Enter through the dining room and you will locate a door on your right, right past the coffee pot and ice machine, and we will be there ready to receive you.

What to wear: First impressions are important, right? The hospitals administration will be attending the orientation at various times so come dressed for the role you were hired. Please, do not come to orientation in crocks, open-toed shoes, hoodies, wearing sunglasses, or earbuds jamming to your favorite playlist. (Smile) We like a party as much as anyone but we want to make sure that you are dressed for success and ready to tour our hospital.

Get a good nights rest: We want you fully rested and ready to go on your first day. Come full of energy and ready to learn. Don’t worry if you need a little energy boost: the hospital CEO leads a 30-minute calisthenics warm-up at each orientation. Okay, we’re kidding about that part but hey - we’re all about fun around here so be ready!

How long will orientation last? Be prepared to attend orientation until 3PM, generally. We could finish up a little sooner or later - but we promise to make it fun!

What happens after orientation? We will pair you up with your new supervisors and they will tell you about next steps! They will discuss schedules and orientation within your new department. Hey - you might even get a chance to meet a couple of your new coworkers!

Thank you again for doing us at McCurtain Memorial Hospital. We are so glad to have you.
