McCurtain Memorial Hospital announced Tuesday evening that Dustin Leonard will serve as Interim Chief Nursing Officer, effective immediately.
Dustin was born and raised in McCurtain County and lives in Eagletown, OK. In 2007, Dustin graduated with his B.A. in Business Administration from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and in 2011 completed the Paramedic program offered at Paris Junior College.
Dustin went on to obtain his Registered Nurse license from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2014 and has worked for Paris Regional as an Intensive Care Nurse and served as a House Supervisor from 2014 to 2022, respectively. Dustin is within months of completing his Masters Degree with an emphasis on Healthcare Information Systems also from Southeastern Oklahoma State University.
In January, Dustin joined the McCurtain Memorial family as the Director of Emergency Services.
When asked about his vision for the entire nursing team at MMH, Dustin said, “My philosophy in management and leadership is to be the type of leader that I would want to work for.” Dustin continued, “…to treat people fairly, lead by example and to never forget where I came from.”
Dustin is married to his wife, Misti, also a Registered Nurse at MMH - and he has three children: Addison, Westin and Barrett.
